10th Anniversary Anthology
Brilliant Flash Fiction celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2024 with an eBook and print anthology entitled TENacity. We are seeking flash fiction stories of 300 words or less on the subject of Tenacity. Writers do not have to use the word “tenacity” in their stories or titles; simply send us your best work expressing the concept of te·nac·i·ty:
- the quality or fact of continuing to exist; persistence.”the tenacity of certain myths within the historical record”
Similar: persistence, determination, doggedness, single-mindedness, perseverance, stick-to-it-iveness, resolution, If someone calls you tenacious you’re probably the kind of person who never gives up and never stops trying – someone who does whatever is required to accomplish a goal.
International submissions okay, written only in English, no age restrictions
Accepting 30-40 stories total
Pays $20 per story plus PDF copy of anthology
Length: 300 words or less, excluding title

Author Bio: 3rd person, 50 words or less, telling something about the author, and NOT a laundry list of previous publications
Deadline: May 15, 2024

Submission Details: Please email your submission to bffnonprofit@gmail.com with “Anthology” in the subject line. Paste your story in the body of the email and attach it in a Word document. Optional: In a cover letter, you may explain in one or two sentences how your story expresses the concept of tenacity. Also please attach or paste into your email a 3rd-person bio (requirements above). There are no font or formatting requirements.
Submissions must be unpublished. Simultaneous submissions are discouraged but acceptable as long as the author notifies us of story withdrawal ASAP. Anthology acceptance emails will be sent no later than July 2024. Please do not send queries before then. Authors retain all rights. No contracts. No more than two submissions per author.
